Description
The Flåmsdalenløpet is by far one of Norway's most beautiful half marathons.
Starting at Flåm Brygge, right outside the Fretheim hotel, a lap of a couple of kilometers is run in the center of Flåm before the course goes up the beautiful and lush Flåmsdalen. After approx. 7 flat kilometers begins the ascent and you run past waterfalls, through a torch-lit tunnel and find yourself in the middle of the most beautiful landscape that Western Norway has to offer. The Rallerrosa stølen is passed and you approach the 21 steep hairpin bends to the finish at the Vatnahalsen hotel.
The fittest may choose Northern Europe's longest Zip line down from Vatnahalsen to the Rallarrosa stølen?! Otherwise, enjoy the finish line with waffles and a good drink at the mountain hotel. This is by far one of Norway's most beautiful races with a calm atmosphere in spectacular surroundings.
A total of over 850 meters of ascent, but you are rewarded with a sense of mastery, beautiful scenery and a good atmosphere. 100% stress-free.
