The Frozen Lake Marathon takes place on a completely flat course on the frozen Tisleifjord, which is located at an altitude of 819 meters on the mountain between Hemsedal and Fagernes. The average thickness of the ice is 80 cm and has a carrying capacity of 80 tonnes.
