Description

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Light Race this year, which is organized by the Copenhagen Light Festival in collaboration with DGI Nordsjælland.

If you want to participate in the "Family Light Race", you must register via www.dgi.dk/202418064101 .

Length of the race: 7.7 km.

If you run the entire route, you will pass 16 of the beautiful light installations that are part of the Copenhagen Light Festival and collect just under 8 km for the running account. No time is taken for the race, which gives you the opportunity to enjoy the trip and experience Copenhagen come alive in the light of your fellow participants. The route is made so that you run the same route out and home, and you are therefore always welcome to run a shorter trip and turn around before the last light installation.

You will receive your starting number on the day when this is collected from the race information at Ofelia Plads. All runners must wear the start number visibly. When you collect your starting number, you will be given an LED light chain that you can wear during the race. After the race, you can keep the light chain and use it at home to spread extra light and atmosphere.

Make a little extra out of the costume

In addition to the light chain you will be given before the start, we encourage EVERYONE to wear as many luminous objects they had to stay at home and participate in the competition for the best "light costume" 🌟🔆

If we have to move the race due to a storm or other impeding weather, it will be moved to Saturday 24 February 2024.

Brief about Copenhagen Light Festival

Copenhagen Light Festival runs over three weeks in February and has more than 300,000 visitors. The festival presents over 50 oases of light works in the dark, as well as a number of pop-up events.

The light race is the largest pop-up event and is organized with DGI/North Zealand.
