Markakarusellen i Drammen – 3. løp

Description

The Markakarusellen consists of five races of 3 km, 5 km, 9 km, 5 km and 3 km. All the races are organized from the Sturla house on the Neperudjordet in Underlia once in the spring in May/June and once in the autumn in August/September. All the races are on nice dirt roads and hiking trails in Bragernesåsen and Drammensmarka.

9 km course:

Start at Sturlabanen and follow the path straight up to the dirt road. Turn left up the steep Kudalsbakken. About 6 meters above the top of the hill, you turn sharply to the right onto a path and follow this onto the road around Hvalsdammen. Follow the road towards Årkvisla and then Kanonveien towards Juletønna. At the junction before Juletønna, the trail turns left and follows the light trail past the pump station and on towards Stronghytta. When you approach Stronghytta, keep to the right and follow the road down towards Spiralen. Follow the main road towards Spiralen and past Øvre Skanse before turning sharply to the right and following Kanonveien on the underside of Spiralen back to Juletønna. After Juletønna, turn down to the left and follow the path through Hamborgstrømskogen to Neperudjord and finish at Sturlahuset.
