Mytho Marathon

Description

MYTHO MARATHON is your chance to enter to the Olympus of Marathons! A myth which will never cease to surprise you because it proposes a new route every year that will make you fall in love forever with Friuli Venezia Giulia and its three wonderful cities. After the success of the first three editions in Cividale del Friuli (2021), Sacile (2022) and Aquileia (2023), MYTHO Marathon now arrives in Grado where the fourth act of the ONLY road marathon to be held in Friuli Venezia Giulia will be staged!

THE ROUTE:

Your Mytho run starts from Piazza Capitolo, the main square of Aquileia! In this iconic place you can admire the famous patriarchal basilica with its bell tower, baptistery and column with the Marcian lion. From this place, symbol of one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire, your journey begins along a spectacular 42.195 kilometre loop that will let you discover every corner of the Roman city as well as the marvellous Grado Lagoon, before returning again to the foot of the majestic Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta!

TEAM MARATHON:

Not able to train for the MYTHO MARATHON? Do you want to face a new challenge by sharing it with friends? Then don't waste time: find 2, 3 or 4 people, create your team and start dreaming! You will be able to compete with lifelong friends, those from the gym or soccer, with work colleagues, your brothers, your sisters, with cousins, because Mytho Team Marathon can be a family affair, a family challenge. The fun is guaranteed, the excitement is multiplied by 4 because together with you there are your teammates, who run for you and with you, to win together. 2,3 or 4 fractions with variable distances, there's something for all tastes... it can be done, right? Running the Mytho Team Marathon is a big but feasible goal because the union gives you the strength to follow your dreams, in one of the most spectacular routes in the whole of Friuli Venezia Giulia!

ECO RUN:

The free-paced Family Run aimed at families but not only, which aims to raise participants' awareness of the protection and safeguarding of the environment. Along the route of about ten kilometres, the runners equipped with gloves and rubbish bags will collect waste paper, butts, cans, bottles, everything that is found abandoned on the ground. And then...Final toast based on Prosecco DOC!

NORDIC WALKING:

Mytho Nordic Walking is a walk of approximately 10km which is part of the rich sports package of the Mytho Marathon . This sectoral event of the event is dedicated exclusively to Nordic Walking enthusiasts who can try their hand at a very spectacular route dedicated to them which from the Rose Park goes towards Grado Pineta crossing the wonderful beach and then entering the greenery of the Pine Forest until reaching the Residence Punta Spin.

SCHOOL RUN:

MYTHO School Run is the party dedicated to the little ones, to the children of primary and secondary schools in Aquileia and 3 other neighboring municipalities, who will have the opportunity to test themselves in an event specifically designed for them . The party will take place at the Aquileia school complex , a space already adopted by sports enthusiasts as an ideal place for outdoor activities. Children will safely participate in mini running competitions and physical activities, where everyone will be a winner.
