Description
Eldslóðin is an off-road run in Iceland's beautiful and spectacular nature, at the city limits.
The run is from Lake Vífilsstaður, into Búrfellsgjá, up to Helgafell and back to Vífilsstaðir.
The race course is designed in such a way that the course is a challenge for the more advanced but at the same time beautiful and easy going, with less elevation than what happens in the big off-road races. Two shorter race courses are also planned with the idea that at the beginning of the summer this can be a fun race where beginners and advanced runners can have a great day together in Heidmörkin.
You can run 10 km and 28 km. A team competition is also offered, which is divided so that four competitors run the 28 km circle and their combined time counts as a team competition, but of course their time also works as an individual time.
