Description
Ørsta Fjellmaraton offers both a full and half marathon in the heart of the Sunnmøre Alps. In addition, they have a shorter course of 7.2 km. The course runs mainly on good trails and forest roads. The highest point of the course is at Sandhornet 909 m above sea level. From here there is a spectacular view of Saudehornet and Vassdalstinden, among others.
The full marathon runs two laps on the same course as the half marathon, but on lap two you run in the opposite direction. You will therefore meet each other along the way and get a taste of the terrain from both directions. Each lap offers 1350 meters of elevation gain.
