Description

Riston Hölkkä is run in Salo Suomusjärvi every year on the Sunday after All Saints' Day. Hölkkä was run for the first time in 1980. It is named after the four-time World Championship medalist Risto Nuuros, who as the brightest achievement of his racing career won the World Championship silver in 1978 on a personal journey.

There are racing and fitness series for fitness enthusiasts of all levels. The routes run in rural landscapes mainly on dirt roads.

All routes run mostly on dirt roads and partly on forest roads with variable surfaces. The longest routes also have about 500 m of paved road, and the shortest routes have some trail-like tracks. The roads are in public use, so be careful and stay on the side of the road.

The distance remaining is indicated by signs every kilometer. Markings only start when the different routes have branched off.
