The nature and terrain around Skagen is fantastic for running, the flat landscape means that you don't have to worry about hills, but can instead focus on the race itself and the breathtaking nature. The race routes go through scenic surroundings in Skagen Plantage, Grenensporet and along roads through Skagen town that are partially closed to traffic.
The marathon distance is achieved by running the Half Marathon route twice.
Depots are set up at approximately every 5 kilometers.
Water, energy drinks and fruit are provided at the depots. There are also toilets at all depots. When you have reached the finish line, you will be presented with a medal, beer/water and a little something to eat.
You can swim and change clothes for free at the Skagen Culture and Leisure Center.
