Description
In the TMC Explo Ekstremløpet, participants have the opportunity to run up the entire popular Sherpa staircase up to Fjellstua on Fløyfjellet, which was completed in 2019. The staircase has 1,203 steps, and is one of the longest staircases in Norway built by the Sherpas from Nepal. The course measures 2.4 km with a 420 m climb and the course records are 15:52 for men and 17:23 for women.
After the finish there is a refreshment station and a medal for everyone who completes the race. Prizes will be awarded to the three best women and men and, in addition, prizes will be drawn based on starting numbers. A new track record is awarded with NOK. NOK 1,000. If no track record is set, the amount will be transferred to next year's prize pool!
The race is part of the triple in the TMC Mountain Challenge.
