Description
The Vikerfjell Challenge is a cross-country race on trails and dirt roads through the Vikerfjell Nature Reserve, about 40 minutes north of Hønefoss by car. There are three different distances to choose from and all finish at the same place. Transport back to the start is organized by the organiser.
There are drink stations approx. every 5 km and cash prizes for the winners of the two longest distances. The trails are relatively easy to run with a total of 314 meters of elevation gain on the longest trail.
The trail runs on dirt roads, paths and off-road, so be prepared to get wet on your feet. The first 10 km in the longest distance are mainly on dirt roads, then 8 km of path and terrain come before the last 3 km, which are mostly on dirt roads.
