When you set yourself a new goal, you might as well get a world champion on the team, right?
I have become happy to set myself new goals that I can work towards, especially in running. It gives me value and a greater meaning. In addition, it gives an extra boost, especially on days when it feels a little harder to get started with the session. It is not necessarily the goal in itself that is the big thing, but the experiences along the way. The road to the goal. It is where you learn, experience and where you spend the most time!
I have now set myself a new goal and there are only two months until it is to be implemented. The goal is Obo's Fornebu race, where I will run the "Fornebutrippelen". It involves three races/distances in succession; 3km, 5km and 10km.
What is EXTRA great in the run up to the race is that this time I will be coached on the road. Not just any coach; Ingrid Kristiansen herself!
Ingrid is, among other things, the only person in the world, woman or man, who has simultaneously held the world records for the 5,000m track, 10,000m track, 15km road, 1/2 marathon and marathon. She has also been more versatile than any other runner in the world with IAAF World Championship titles on both road, cross-country and track. She has won the biggest international marathons around the world, up to several times. She can also point to many Norwegian championships in both skiing and running.

I am very excited about the time ahead with Ingrid. There is no doubt that the knowledge, competence and experience are in place! It will therefore be exciting to see what plans she has for me and how I respond to this.
This will be my first time where I get to structure my running. I have previously been unconcerned with this, and mostly always ran on the 'feeling'. By all means, it has worked well! I found the joy of running this way and have enjoyed it. At the same time, I feel an inner drive to improve myself and try something new. Train more efficiently and structured.
I'm pretty sure that Ingrid sets up the training in a completely different way to what I'm used to. Among other things, I would like to believe that she has a greater focus on recovery between runs than I have today.
I have no ambitions to be the best, but I want to both test out new races, be able to run longer and do this in a sensible way. Me VS.me.
