Stretching exercise for calves with a foam roller, increases mobility in the muscles and connective tissue on the back of the calf, mainly the muscle m. gastrocnemius.

Problemstilling

Do you have pain or stiffness in your calves, or do you suffer pain down your Achilles and foot? Do you often get cramps the calves in activity or at night? Then this exercise can help.

Guide

Place the foam roller in the area where you know you are stiffest. You can choose the degree of stretch by either rolling with both lay at the same time, or increase the pressure by placing one leg over the other. Roll up and down for about 1 minute. Foamroller, or foam roller in good Norwegian, can be bought in the nearest sports shop, or at one of our clinics. A great tool with many uses, which you can have to treat yourself.
