Arctic Snowshoe Race

The Midnight Sun Marathon (MSM) foundation organized the first snowshoe race in 2018. In 2020, the Norwegian Athletics Association introduced snowshoeing as a new sports discipline in the association.

We challenge everyone who enjoys running and mountain tours to try snowshoeing. It is a demanding and fun form of training and an increasingly popular form of hiking in Norway. We offer two distances, 5 km and 10 km with start and finish at the Tromsø Ski Stadium at Templarheimen. If you don't have your own snowshoes, you can rent a pair of race snowshoes from us. We hope to see you at the starting line this winter!
