Ekeberg Backyard Ultra is a classic last man standing ultra where it's about running the same round of 6.7 km every hour. The winner is the one who perseveres the longest and runs the last lap alone.

The race is a "Silver Ticket" race to the Backyard Ultra World Championships - the winner is guaranteed a place on Team Norway and will participate in the Backyard Ultra World Championships in 2024.\ n The trail runs on a varied surface of grass, path, dirt road and asphalt through Ekebergparken, over Ekebergsletta and up Brannfjell. The trail will be well marked. At night, much of the trail is lit, while some are in complete darkness. In any case, this will be cold, dark and long.
