Hovlandsnuten at 931 meters above sea level is one of Sauda's most characteristic mountain peaks, clearly visible from the fjord. The downhill race Hovlandsnuten Opp is part of the Norwegian Cup downhill and welcomes the best downhill runners in the country together with many hundreds of children and trimmers of all ages. En route in the steep terrain, there are both sprint prices and several drink stations. In the competition class, participants must carry a bag of at least 2 kg. For those who want to compete in the sherpa class, you must carry a 20 kg bag.
