Bagsværd Sø functions as Denmark's Rostadion. Both elite rowers, long-distance rowers and exercisers use Bagsværd Sø for training. You can also take a trip on the lake either by renting a canoe at the boat rental or by taking a trip with Bådfarten, which also sails on Lyngby Sø.

Furthermore, Furesø (the lake) is just 1 km from Bagsværd Sø's northernmost point. Lake Furesøen is Denmark's deepest lake, with just under 40 m to the bottom.
