Mosvannsløpet

Most people who live in Stavanger have a relationship with the Mosvannet and the Mosvannsløpet was organized for the first time in 1947. In the 60s and 70s, the Mosvannsløpet was Veslandet's largest cross-country race. After a break between 2003 and 2015, this popular round on gravel around Mosvannet is now an official race again.

The elite classes for women and men are reserved for runners who are members of athletics clubs affiliated with the Norwegian Athletics Association with an expected finish time of under 10:00 minutes ( men)/11:30 minutes (ladies).

A separate children's race/cross-country race is organized at Mosvangen Camping, approx. 500 metres, ahead of the Mosvann race. All participants receive a participant medal.
