Trollenykjen Up has roughly the same trail profile as Skåla Up, but in a slightly shorter version. From the center of Nordfjordeid, the trail rises smoothly and nicely all the way to the top at 898 m. The first hundred meters are on a forest road, then on a fine path through deciduous forest until you are a little over halfway. Above the tree line, the path then continues on alternating bog and earth before you get solid rock under your feet in the last part of the run.
