Walk the Coast - Behind Frederikshavn's coast (1st stage)

"Now we are going a little away from the coast & a little detour into the country"

5 stages on foot and lots of lovely nature.

After we have now seen the coastline in Frederikshavn Municipality from both directions, we now have to move a little further away from the coast and take a small detour into the municipality.

Walk the Coast 2024 - 5 stages on foot...

Then we are once again ready for 5 stages with Walk the Coast and, as in 2023, the start and finish will be in the same city, which in addition to expanding we with the possibility of a smaller route of approx. 10-11 km on each stage.

All the stages will have a common start, follow each other and after a few km the smaller route turns off and later turns back onto the long route again . Thereby they are both followed to the finish line.

As in previous years, Walk the Coast is reserved for exercisers in GÅ SHO

(Runners are of course welcome, as long as they stick to the walking pace :-)

We keep going, that the trip will be with the catering in the rucksack.

This means that before the start, a small catering bag will be handed out, so that you have something to enjoy along the way.

The catering will be a small sandwich from Restaurant Bones in Frederikshavn, a bottle of water, fruit and something sweet for the palate.

When you finish there will be a beer/soft drink, coffee and cake.

A little history about Walk the Coast:

In 2017 we had a coffee date on a café in Frederikshavn and here we planned the later very popular LandsbyLØBET where, together with the District Committee, over the summer we showcased Frederikshavn Municipality in the many corners around the catchment area.

We were behind the LandsbyLØBET in 2017, 2018 & 2019\ n In 2021 we were ready again with a new cozy project, here we wanted to show you Frederikshavn Municipality, seen from the water's edge, the trip started 6 km south of Voerså, from here we WENT north and over 7 stages we moved around Grenen and down along the West Coast until we hit Skiveren Camping where Frederikshavn Municipality became Hjørring Municipality.

In 2022 we turned the route was ready again with a new round "Walk the Coast - Frederikshavn along the coast" This time we started at Skiveren Camping and finished after 6 stages in Voerså.

Just like last year, a small catering bag will be handed out before the start so you have something to enjoy along the way. There will be a small sandwich from Restaurant Bones in Frederikshavn, a bottle of water, fruit and something sweet for the palate.
