The route of the Gutenberg Half Marathon Mainz is a sightseeing tour through the heart of Mainz: the focus is on the historic old town with all its cultural highlights and beauties, the hip new town with its multicultural diversity and its squares lively with numerous music and dance groups. It also continues through the Mombach district, which is popular with runners because of its party atmosphere.

The starting signal for the traditional “Meenzer” event is given for the three runs in the Große Bleiche, near the Electoral Palace.
