AJ Bell Great North Run

The AJ Bell Great North Run is the world's largest half marathon, with over 60,000 runners taking part each year. It takes place annually in September, starting in Newcastle upon Tyne and finishing in South Shields. The race is 13.1 miles long and passes over the Tyne Bridge and through the streets of Newcastle before finishing on the coast in South Shields. It has been held every year since 1981 and is one of the most popular running events in the world.
