Bach Maraton

'Bach Marathon - Festspil Run' combines the best of the classical music world and long-distance running: Immersion, reflection, brain, heart (and feet) mixed with entertainment in Frederiksberg. Bach Marathon - Festspil Run is simply that cellist Toke Møldrup performs the 36 movements in Johann Sebastian Bach's 6 cello suites and runs one kilometer between each of them! The audience runs and listens along. There is in no way a requirement that you run along for all the kilometres; you are welcome to run as far as you like and if you get tired, you can settle down in Bakkehuset's garden and wait for Toke Møldrup - together with the field - to come by again. Everyone is welcome to participate - young and old, both as running spectators and cheering along the route or sitting in Bakkehuset's garden. It is free to join. The route: Start and finish in Bakkehuset's garden. The route will be published soon. The project had its world premiere to an excited audience at the Bergen Festspillene in June this year. On 21 August it will be the Bornholmers' turn to run in connection with the Svanekegaarden Celle Festival and on 24 September there will be a run/play in Belgrade (Belgrade Marathon and the ArtLink Festival) in Serbia.
