Description

Esrum Sø Rundt is one of Denmark's most beautiful exercise races with challenges for all runners regardless of level. The race has been held since 1972 and is thus also one of Denmark's oldest exercise races.

All routes start through the closed part of the castle, past the Chancellery and on through the Castle Gardens with great views over Esrum Lake and to the castle. The long routes leave from Slotshaven and offer beautiful nature and great sea views. Esrum Sø Rundt is, regardless of distance, a beautiful and unique run through parts of Danish history. On the trip around Esrum Lake, you pass Esrum Kloster and run through Gribskov, which is now part of the Kongernes Nordsjælland National Park. There are kilometer signs for every kilometer on the routes. With approx. There are depots with water and energy drinks at 5-6 km intervals. In the finish area, there is also liquid, fruit and snacks for all the runners.

Approximately 2,500 runners take part in the Esrum Sø Rundt every year, and there are great cash prizes, DKK 5,000 for both the fastest woman and the fastest man on the 27 km Kongeetapen. Cash prizes and gift cards also for all other podium positions.

There are changing and bathing facilities at Fredensborg School - approx. 800 meters from the starting area.
