Join the 25th edition of the Fredrikstad Marathon – a race that combines the charm of the city with the beautiful autumn scenery!

The start and finish are at the FIF building in Fredrikstad, where runners embark on three 14 km laps through asphalt, gravel roads and paths in the idyllic Fredrikstadmarka. With a total distance of 42.195 km and food and drink stations strategically placed along the course, everything is in place for a solid marathon experience. The main start is offered at 11:00 and an early start at 10:00 for those who expect to spend more than 5 hours. Everyone who finishes will receive a beautiful ceramic cup as a souvenir, and the top three in each class will be awarded a trophy and a free starting spot next year. The race is open to everyone with a valid full-year license or one-time license, and you can easily pick up your start number and use the locker rooms, toilets and storage in the FIF hall. Join a running party filled with real autumn atmosphere and local involvement!

🗺️ Race format and course:

Marathon (42.195 km): Start with a 195-meter running loop followed by three equal laps of 14 km. Mileage signs are adjusted so that you can easily maintain a steady pace across the laps.

Surface: The first half of each lap is on asphalt, then follows gravel roads and forest trails through beautiful Fredrikstadmarka.

🚰 Support and Logistics:

There are three drink stations per lap – at km 5 (before Østfoldhallen), at the entrance to the forest, and at the finish line. On laps 2 and 3, Cola and bananas are also offered.

All race functions (start, finish, and bib number distribution) take place at the FIF building, Ilaveien 132, Fredrikstad. Here you will find toilets, changing rooms, and luggage storage. Parking is available at Stjernehallen (approx. 5 min walk), well signposted.

Entry fee:

NOK 450 (early bird until October 18)

NOK 500 (October 19–24)

NOK 550 on race day

Members of Kondis and Fredrikstad IF receive a discount (requires registration through fredrikstadif.no)

Awards: All finishing participants receive the unique Fredrikstad marathon cup. The best in each class receive a trophy, and winners receive a free starting spot for next year's race.

⚠️ Rules and Important Info:

License: A valid license from the Norwegian Athletics Federation is required. A one-time license can be purchased upon registration.

Timing: The race uses gun time as the official time.

Pacing: Pacers are not allowed during the race.
