GotRun Trail Fest

Welcome to a wonderful running adventure in unique nature in the Gutarna trail in eastern Gotland where you will (hopefully) meet SPRING & run on nice green paths!

After two very successful first editions of the race, the first in Jan-2022, with took for lovely weather (however, winds of 25m/s at night), and the second in March-2023 with a lot of mud, we - Run Raisers in collaboration with Wisby Ultralöparförening (WULF) - want to once again invite you to a lovely, a little exclusive running adventure on everyone's Gotland.

Saturday 28/3 we kick off the 4th edition of GotRun Trail Fest 2025 - an experience that we will do our best so that you will not soon forget. Hopefully it is both sunny, dry & windy along the coast so you feel the forces of nature present. There is rarely ice & snow on the ground on Gotland in March, but dry & nice ground = probably SWEDEN'S BEST RUN this season!

We offer 3 different distances:

"SHORT" 36 km

- start Sat 29/3 at 11:00 = Qualifying race in the 20K category for the UTMB World Series 2024.

"EASY" 50 miles (81 km)

- start Saturday 29/3 at 07:00 = Qualifying race in the 50K category for the UTMB World Series 2024.

"DUBBLE" 100 miles (162 km)

- start Fri 28/3 at 20:00 = Qualifying race in the 100M category for the UTMB World Series 2024.

In 2024, we have also had the honor of organizing the SM & VSM in trail running at an ultra distance of 80 km = "EASY" 50 miles will thus be the distance to run!

\ n ATTENTION! You as a participant (and of course accompanying family/relatives) will thus receive a 10-48% discount on Destination Gotland's boat trips (see more info on the website www.runraisers.com).

Our goal is to gather a wonderful group of ultrarunners (also beginners to ultra are of course welcome) a weekend in March to run some trails and socialize. There will be fantastic food & drink, of course with a Gotland touch. Hopefully good chat, lots of tips, laughs and competition memories shared, and that everyone will get some insight into the exciting history of eastern Gotland.

Of course it is a competition, winners will be chosen & medals will be awarded, but the focus is not the race but the experience together on eastern Gotland during a season you don't associate Gotland with. At the same time as we organize the race, we collect money for charity with the Children's Diabetes Foundation as a beneficiary, which is why part of the registration fee is donated there. In 2023, we received a total of SEK 25,976. The Children's Diabetes Foundation supports research aimed at preventing, curing or alleviating diabetes in children & young people.

Base camp for the race is the cozy seaside resort Ljugarn on Gotland's east coast.

The race starts on Saturday 29/3 (NOTE! "Dubble " 100 miles already starts Friday evening 3/28)
