Who are you running for?

The Army Run 2024 is sold out, but remember you can still register for the virtual run.

The Army Run is a non-profit exercise run organized by volunteer cadets from the Army's Officers School. EVERYONE is welcome - walking or running - young or old and regardless of whether you are connected to the Armed Forces!

All profits are donated to the Danish Support Group Ukraine, which trains children in handling and handling mined areas. Read more here (DSGU - Danish support for Ukraine).

Frederiksberg Castle and Søndermarken will once again set the stage for our popular exercise run. Here you get the opportunity to test your running form on a beautiful and hilly route in Søndermarken - all you have to do is lace up your running shoes for a good cause!

VIRTUAL RUN

If you don't have the opportunity to participate at Frederiksberg Castle, you can register for the virtual race and run either 5 or 10 km, when and where it suits you. This way you still have the opportunity to support the good cause.

Program

1600 Frederiksberg Castle opens for issuing running numbers/h -shirts

1630 The Life Guard's Tambour Corps followed by speeches

1700 Joint warm-up

1715 10 km start

1720 Burden Run start

1800 5 km start

1845 Award ceremony in the Castle Yard

1900 Cadet cellar opens

2000 Grill & Cloakroom close

Route

The start goes from Frederiksberg Castle and down Roskildevej. The route is run on the paths in Søndermarken, and it is 5 km long. It can be run either once or twice to reach 5 or 10 km respectively - it's entirely up to you. There will be helpers along the entire route who will guide you through the race.

Finally, you turn from Søndermarken, over Roskildevej and into the gate of Frederiksberg Castle, which houses the cadets at the Army's Officers School, where you reach the finish area in the beautiful castle farm.

Burden Run

Burden Run is a run inspired by military unit training with a touch of OCR, which aims to simulate the physical challenges that the soldiers had to face in their daily work. Each team must have a team name and consist of 5 people (including at least 1 woman). Contact Hærløbet for more information at haerlobet@gmail.com.

Worth knowing

Storage

Items that you wish to keep in the wardrobe during the race must be handed in a bag to our volunteers in the castle yard.

Changing/Toilet conditions

There will be toilets available on both sides of the castle yard at Frederiksberg Castle. It is not possible to take a shower after the race. If you haven't changed from home, refer to the aforementioned toilets.

Food

The cadets at the Army Officers School set up a barbecue in the castle courtyard, where it will be possible to buy sausages and bread.

The cadet cellar sets up bars, so you can also switch off quench your thirst in beer, soda or just plain water.

Party

After the race, EVERYONE is welcome to visit the Cadet Cellar and enjoy drinks to celebrate a good race and that it is a public holiday the following day. Bars will be set up both outdoors and indoors, and the cadets will be ready to fire up the good atmosphere!

Miscellaneous

Come in good time and get your t-shirt/start number and enjoy life in the beautiful surroundings at Frederiksberg Castle. By registering, you give permission for us to use any photos from the race.
