Description

Hamar Backyard Ultra 50M is a running competition that is organized according to the "Backyard" principle. Backyard Ultra races have been organized since 2011, and have their origins from Big's Backyard Ultra in Tennessee, USA. The course is 6706 meters long (which is equivalent to 4.167 miles, and which is 100 Miles in total if run 24 times). The course must be completed once every hour, and whoever does not meet the deadline for the next start (the next full hour) is out. Hamar Backyard Ultra 50M is limited to half the distance, which means that the maximum number of laps (and hours) that the competition lasts is 12. The maximum distance is therefore 80467 meters (or just over 8 miles - almost 2 marathons). If there are several people who complete the last start, the winner is chosen according to the fastest time on the last lap. Other ranking by number of rounds completed within the time limit, and in case of equality in number of rounds by fastest time on the last completed round.
