Knartamarsjen

Description

The Knartamarsjen is a tradition-rich exercise race at Galterud outside Kongsvinger that has been held over 40 times.

Here everyone can participate in the fitness class on foot and by bike,

and there are opportunities to participate in the active class on time.

We have a simple class division for actives:

- Girls under 18

- Boys under 18

- Women over 18 (who turn 18 that year)

- Men over 18 (who turn 18 that the year)

The race always takes place on Ascension Day, and is a great way to get out and enjoy spring with the smell of spring flowers and the sight of green shoots on bushes and trees and feel that summer is on its way.

There is free fruit at the finish line, and the kiosk is open.

There are changing facilities at the stadium. Good parking facilities.

The track is 7.2 kilometers with start and finish at the Furumoen Sports Arena. The trail goes around the Krosgsrudrunden or "Vestroa" as the locals say. It starts out flat for the first 2 km, but at around 3 km there is a tough uphill.

After this it's a bit hilly, but when you pass the drink station at Galterud Kindergarten at 4 km, it's downhill and a very easy run to the finish line.
