Markakarusellen i Drammen – 6. løp

Description

The Markakarusellen consists of five races of 3 km, 5 km, 9 km, 5 km and 3 km. All races are organized starting from the Sturla house on Neperudjordet in Underlia, once in the spring in May/June and once in the autumn in August/September. All races are on nice gravel roads and hiking trails in Bragernesåsen and Drammensmarka.

The 6th race starts at Sturlabanen and goes straight left immediately on a path past the sauna and up to the ski trail in Kudalen. Then follow the gravel road to the right and then right again down Kanonveien at the intersection between the gravel roads. Follow Kanonveien past Juletønna and then abruptly down a path to the right after a small rock pile on the gravel road. Follow the path past the old Juletønna before we enter the footpath in Hamborgstrømskogen. Continue a few hundred meters on the footpath before we turn left on a path down to Thurmanns vei. Follow Thurmanns vei to the left towards the large rock pile before the trail turns abruptly 180 degrees to the right and follows the walkway under the overpass to the ski jump in Jøssingkollen. Passes on the upper side of the Hamborgstrøm pavilion and turns right on the walkway up towards Neperudjordet again. Left at the intersection towards Neperudjordet, down the last part of the field and finish at Sturlahuset.
