Description
The Sempacherseelauf is a popular and familial run in central Switzerland. The centerpiece is the half marathon with officially measured distance around Lake Sempach. This can also be completed as a team.
The half marathon is slightly hilly, but rather flat on asphalt and natural roads. The courses are completely closed off from traffic.
The 10km run at the Sempacherseelauf is slightly undulating and leads on asphalt through the old town of Sursee and to the shore of Lake Sempach. The second half of the course leads on gravel through a nature reserve and along a stream back to the finish.
The Sempacherseelauf also offers a 5-kilometer run. There is also a couples' run, team run, and children's run. Further information can be found on the website.
Sursee can be reached by car or by train in 20min from Lucerne.
