We want to have more races throughout the year, and these are races that everyone can take part in! We have therefore also removed "carousel" from the race names. The term race carousel may be unfamiliar to many, but it just means that there are several races of the same type that you can take part in, and by removing unfamiliar terms we hope that everyone understands that everyone can take part 🙂

i In 2024, we have chosen to alternate between two different routes, and there you can choose whether you want to participate in the 5/10 km races in Vasstranda (asphalt) or the 4/8 km races along the Fjordstien/Hatlevika (gravel). You can also choose whether you want timekeeping or not. You are allowed to go all the way if you wish, and you control your own pace according to your own form. Remember that a little activity is always better than none!

The races in Vasstranda/Spjelkavika run on tarmac, but there is little or no car traffic. The trail is partly flat with a few short hills and it is controlled. The race starts in Spjelkavika at the west end of Lillevatnet at the parking lot for the hiking trail. The trail enters Vasstranda where it turns after 5 km at the barrier or at the 2.5 km mark if you are going to run 5 km.

The runs in the Fjordstien/Hatlevika start and finish at the marina in Hatlevika. The race is mainly on gravel and is only slightly hilly. Those who will run 4 km start at 1800 and run west on the Fjordstien before turning after 2 km (marked) and running back to the finish line. Those who run 8 km start at 1805 and first run 2 km east on the Fjordstien (marked) before turning and running back west 4 km, turning at the same place as 4 km, and back to the finish in Hatlevika.
