Sunnhordland løpsfest

Stord Athletics would like to welcome you to a real running party in Leirvik city center on Saturday, May 3, 2025. The first five editions of this event were called Sunnhordland Marathon. In 2024, the event took on a completely new look, as Sunnhordland løpsfest, which will also apply in 2025. Distances: 5 km, 10 km, half marathon, children's race and super race for people with disabilities (formerly Team PULS). Start and finish are in Borggata in Vikjo. Note that this also applies to 5 km, which previously started at Kattatveit. More information about the race routes can be found on the Sunnhordland løpsfest website. Registration for the ordinary distances and the super race can be done at EQ Timing. The children's race is approximately 450 meters long, and will be divided into two starts; one with a parent and one without. In 2024, all children's races at Stord athletics were free to participate in. In 2025, we are forced to return to the old system of payment via Vipps. If you want to run one of the regular distances, you must pay the regular price. The price for the regular distances increases twice leading up to the event: January 1 and April 1. There will be no official After Run event in 2025, but we encourage runners and others to visit our partner Bakeriet Frugård to eat pizza after the event or later in the evening.
