Description
Birken Løpefestival offers off-road races in distances from 5 km to 60 km on the same day.
The original Birkebeinerløpet is part of the Birkebeiner Triple on skis, bikes and runs. The 21 km course runs through fine forest terrain on varied terrain on path, cart track and grass-covered ski track in old Olympic tracks and cycle paths.
There are three drink and food stations along the way in addition to refreshments after the finish line.
HalvBirken starts at the same place like the Birkebeinerløpet, but follows another track down to the drinking station at Kroken. From the drinks station to the finish at HåkonsHall, the HalvBirken follows the same course as the other distances.
Everyone gets a medal and the three best in each class are specially awarded.
In the area around Håkons Hall, Stampesletta and Maihaugen, both 5 km, the Youth Birken and a separate children's race are organized for the little ones. There is something here for the whole family.
