The running platform RunAgain.com, which allows runners and organizers to meet to find, book and discuss events, is accelerating its growth plans in Denmark.
RunAgain aims to become the largest in Scandinavia, and buys its Danish competitor Motionsløb.dk, which is the largest website of its kind in Denmark. The Danish platform was launched in 2008. Over the years, Motionsløb.dk has built up both a brand and not least a large database of active race organizers and runners. On the site there are approximately 1,700 race events and 17,000 registered users.
«- We are very satisfied with this agreement, says managing director Carl-Otto Karlengen. We have followed Motionsløb.dk and the Danish market for quite some time. Through the acquisition, we now gain a significant market share in Denmark and Scandinavia. With this, we are well on our way to achieving our goal of being the leading platform for finding, booking and discussing races in Scandinavia during 2023.
The parties do not wish to make the transaction sum public.
Karlengen is convinced that the acquisition of Motionsløb.dk will provide a Norwegian and better user experience. New functionalities in the service are under development.
«- It will be even better to be a user of RunAgain. The company is working on developing more functionality intended for runners. To help organizers get more people signed up and, not least, to learn from each other, the company has several concrete initiatives that will continue throughout the autumn and winter".
