Description

Averøy 3 Fjell is a beautiful mountain race that runs at the edge of the sea gap right next to the Atlantic Ocean Road. It consists of the three beautiful mountain peaks: Gulltanna, Fagerfjellet and Meekknoken. The race is 18 km long and 1,200 meters in height. In the competition and exercise class you have to visit all the peaks, while in the fitness class you can choose how many of them you want to visit. In addition, a trip is organized for children up to Skårrå, which is 2.5 km one way.

You must bring your own food and drink. The water in the stream can be drunk. Strong trainers or mountain shoes are recommended (spiked shoes are prohibited) Exercisers who intend to spend several hours on the trip must bring clothes for cold weather. Competitive runners must also dress according to the weather conditions. A small bag with an extra jacket and drink is mandatory. Fully charged mobile phone (preferably in a waterproof bag). At the finish line, participants will receive fruit and drinks.

There will be a kiosk at Mork Stadium.

Route info:

Start at Mork Stadium where we follow the main road for a few meters before it heads up towards Morkasetra and further up to Steinkorga. Here we turn left and look out over the beautiful high mountain landscape in the direction of Tøvika and Eide. We follow the well-marked path to the kneika up to the first peak, Gulltanna. After a quick tour at the top, the tour goes down again and to the left towards Fagerfjellet. From Fagerfjellet the trip goes back to Steinkorga and from there on up to the highest mountain on the whole of Averøya, Meekknoken 751 m.a.s.l. After the last peak, the tour quickly descends towards the stadium via Steinkorga a third time.

Skårrå:

This tour is a great tour for families with small children. The trail is approx. 2.5 km. Every 500m up the tractor road there will be questions that you can solve on the way up. The barbecue will be prepared at the gapahuk on Skårrå, so then just bring your sausage and bread and enjoy yourself up there. In addition to a medal for everyone, 3 children will be drawn to win an extra prize each.
