Description

EXECUTE is a relay where the runners compete in women's, men's and mixed classes. Each team consists of three or four runners. There are also 50 team places for those who want an even bigger challenge and want to compete in the duo class. A total of up to 500 teams can compete. On September 21, the event takes place in challenging mountain terrain at Hundfjället / Tandådalen in Sälen. You must be at least 18 years old in 2024 to participate.

In total, each runner runs at least 28 kilometers and about 1300 meters of elevation gain along the way. In the event that a team consists of two or three people, there will naturally be a longer distance and more height meters per person. The relay is run on three different courses (course 1,2 and 3) which all need to be run four distances per team. A total of twelve legs per team, regardless of the number of team members.

Mass start at 07.00. When the first runner in each team is back, he switches over to the next runner in the team who sets off on lane 1. When four legs have been run on lane 1, the first runner sets off on lane 2 and then it continues in the same way until the whole team has finished on course 3. The whole team must be at the finish line no later than 19.00.

Course 1 = approx. 9 km (470+ altitude meters)

Course 2 = approx. 14 km (510+ altitude meters)

Course 3 = approx. 5 km (310+ altitude meters)

The starting point is that all teams have four participants in their team. If your team only consists of three participants, each participant gets to run an extra course, you decide for yourself who takes which. It is also possible for one person to take all the extra rounds. For those competing in a duo, each person runs the same course twice, in the order they wish. Thus, the total amount of kilometers run lands at about 56 kilometers.
