Description
The Hauern Race was organized for the first time as part of the Hauern trip in 2018. A test race was conducted in autumn 2017 and the feedback on the course and event was overwhelming.
The trail starts on a dirt road from Spiralen and rises quickly before it changes to a path up towards Stronghytta. Then it goes slightly downhill and on a slightly hilly path and footpath past Årkvisla, and on to Panteguten after approx. 6 km. From Panteguten there is a steady climb up to Tverken after 10 km. From Tverken, you go down easy terrain towards Spiralen via Landfallhytta and Villåsen. It may be a good idea to save some energy for Villåsen, which has some tough downhills. The new trail is measured at approx. 18.5 km. The trail has a total of approx. 550 meters in height and is sometimes demanding, but is feasible for most people.
