KnarvikMila is a real classic with several different distances that suit all runners and anyone who has not yet called themselves a runner. Here you will find a race for you - whatever your form, age and ambitions.

We have one of the flattest and fastest slopes you can find in Western Norway, where we can almost guarantee that you will experience one of your fastest races! Perfect if you are a well-trained runner who wants to set a new pace, or a less experienced runner who wants a good running experience on a fast and easy course!

KnarvikMila consists of a large number of events in addition to races. Our aim is to create a real folk festival where running, walking, culture and public health are at the center!

21 km🏃‍♂️

At KnarvikMila you have the opportunity to run the classic half-marathon distance of 21,097 m on a flat and easy track in the area around Knarvik stadium.

You run a lap of 5km+ 4 times, which means that you have the massive support of the public at your back during the entire race, briefly between drink stations and the entertainment on the course.

The half marathon is open to everyone from 15 years with separate 2-year classes for youth, seniors and 5-year classes for veterans.

10 km🏃‍♂️

Do you want to try a real classic? This year is the 41st time 10 km - the KnarvikMila itself - has been completed!

A 10 km race is a manageable length for most people, but it can also be a challenge to get to the finish line in a good way. This makes the distance a motivating and good training goal throughout the season. This is the absolute classic for both exercisers and well-trained runners.

10 km is open to everyone from the age of 12 with separate 2-year classes for youth, seniors and 5-year classes for veterans.

5 km – Run to live 🏃‍♂️

5 km is suitable for those who want to start or have just started training, or you are on your way to getting in shape and need a challenge to focus on. 5 km is also suitable for those who are already in good shape and would like to have a quick run.

KnarvikMila has a collaboration with the Cancer Association. NOK 100 of the registration fee for the 5 km Run for Life goes to Kreftens Bekjempelse.

5 km is open to everyone from 10 years of age with separate 2-year classes for youth, seniors and 5-year classes for veterans.

FjordViking: 🏆\ n Are you ready for a slightly bigger challenge? Do all three races in one day and become a FjordViking!

FjordViking is a badge of honor that is only for the most persistent, while at the same time it is a manageable distance for many. Give yourself an extra challenge and sign up for FjordViking.

FjordViking has its own prize with a visible achievement!

Common information:😎

All races take place on the same 5 km/5 km+ trail. The course is flat and easy to run with long straight stretches - perfect for setting a new personal record. The course is car-free!

Spectators, drink stations, entertainment and activities all along the course.

There will be cash prizes for the top 3 in the ladies' and men's class in all three races!

All participants are entered into the draw for a wide range of other small and large prizes, including a Toyota from Eknes Karosseri AS, which can be had for one year as the main prize!

Course details

Start er inne på Knarvik stadion. Etter ein halv runde på spartandekket på banen, spring ein ut på asfalten og opp mot Knarvik Ungdomsskule. Ved skulen tar ein til høgre inn på parkeringsplassen og inn på gangveg i Juvikstølen. Frå gangstien i Juvikstølen kjem ein ut på Lonsvegen. Følg Lonsvegen forbi Knarvik stadion, ta til venstre og inn i Brekkeløypa ved østre inngang. Her finn du første drikkestasjon.

Brekkeløypa er ein turløype rundt vatnet Lona, med hardpakka grus som underlag. Etter ein runde på ca. 1,6 km i løypa, kjem du til andre drikkestasjon før du fortsetter på Lonsvegen mot E39. Når ein kjem bort mot E39, ved gravplassen, går løypa inn på gangvegen mot Gjervik på venstre side av gangveg. Etter ca 100m på gangveg snur løypa og ein spring tilbake på motsett side av gangveg. For halvmaraton går løypa litt lengre ut mot Gjervik før ein snur. Tilbake ved gravplassen spring ein over fotgjengarovergangen og inn på gangvegen på venstre side av Lonsvegen. Herfra følgjer ein gangvegen langs Lonsvegen i retning mot Knarvik stadion.

Like før fotballbanen Knarvik kunstgress finner du drikkestasjon nr. 3. Fortsett på utsida av kunstgressbana før du tar til venstre og kortaste veg mot Knarvik stadion. På stadion blir det ein halv runde på banen før målpassering eller du passerer før du fortsett på ein ny runde for 10 km eller for 4 runder totalt for 21 km. Ved passering finn du den fjerde drikkestasjonen heilt i starten på ein ny runde.

I målområdet får du medalje, vatn og banan. Her finn du også Røde Kors-teltet dersom du treng assistanse og eit eige område der du kan mingle med andre løparar.
