Description

The Markakarusellen consists of five races of 3 km, 5 km, 9 km, 5 km and 3 km. All the races are organized from the Sturla house on the Neperudjordet in Underlia once in the spring in May/June and once in the autumn in August/September. All the races are on nice dirt roads and hiking trails in Bragernesåsen and Drammensmarka.

10th race starts at Sturlabanen and goes straight to the left once on the path past the sauna and up the ski track in the cow valley. Then follow the gravel road to the right and then right again down Kanonveien at the junction between the gravel roads. Follow Kanonveien past Juletønna and then abruptly down a path to the right after a small pile of stones on the dirt road. Follow the path past the old Yuletønna before we enter the walkway in Hamborgstrømskogen. Continue a few hundred meters on the footpath before we turn left on the path down to Thurmann's road. Follow Thurmann's road to the left towards the large stone pile before the track turns abruptly 180 degrees to the right and follows the footpath under the overpass to the jumping hill in Jøssingkollen. Pass on the upper side of the Hamburgstrømpavilion and turn right on the footpath up towards the Neperudjord again. To the left at the crossing towards Neperudjord, down the last part of the field and the finish line at Sturlahuset.
