Elche International Half Marathon
The oldest Half Marathon in the World! The first time that a race was run over the exact distance of 21km and 97 meters (the exact half of a marathon) was in Elche... in an attempt to organize a marathon divided between two days... but in the end it was only He competed in one.
It was 1968, until then there were races of 10 and 20 kilometers, but not 21km and 97 meters, a distance that is now the goal of many popular and professional runners around the world.
