Bergen Fjellkarusell Løp 1: Ulriken 642 m.o.h- hytte til hytte.

Description

Bergen Fjellkarusell is a race that is organized in various places in Bergen's mountain areas. New routes and new challenges. You can participate in one or more races. In 2024, three races will be organised.

Race 1: Ulriken – cabin to cabin. 642 m.a.s.l. Date: Tuesday 14 May 2024. Start: 18:00-18:20 for fitness class. At 18:30 for the competition class. Trail description: Start at the Montana dirt track. Follow the shortest path to the Baunehytten, then along the water to the Jotnehytten "Speiderhytten", further towards the Korketrekkeren, where the trail passes by Sigrid Heim, before passing the Red Cross hut. In Korketrekkeren we take off to Arneborg and then the climb begins in earnest towards Smågimle, Gimle and Lidskavl. The course then goes straight towards Norway, and Turnerhytten. Trails then follow the main route from Vidden towards Ulriken, where the trail passes Pluto and Arken before turning down towards Årstadhytten, Stormfugl, Breidablikk, Kobbeltvedt, Ulvehylet and Vardebu. The finish will be at Ulriken. Length: 8.6 km. Practical info: A bag of clothes will be transported from start to finish for those who wish.

The trails run on terrain with varying surfaces, and will be somewhat technically demanding, even if we plan to follow paths and some forest roads. Start and finish will be in the same place and all races are over a mountain. The trails are marked with pennants or marking tape and there are guards on the trail where the organizer deems it necessary. MRK: The routes can be changed. You will then be informed about this at the start.

Start number: Delivery of start number at the starting area for your first race. MRK: Have you selected "Karusell registration" i.e. registered for several races, you must keep the start number to use this in all races.
