UltraBirken

Description

UltraBirken is a terrain ultra race in beautiful nature and varied terrain. Parts of the trail are the same as the Birken Fjellmaraton on trails in beautiful high mountain terrain over Sjusjøfjellet and Lunkefjell, but then have an extra round around Melsjøen, Reina, Krigsfjell, Hitfjell and Pellestova. Løypa's highest point at 1072 m above sea level is at Nevelfjell and after you have passed Sjusjøen again there is quite a lot of descent on the way to the finish at Håkons Hall in Lillehammer. Along the way there is a lot of path, some dirt road and both soft and rocky sections.

There are seven drink and food stations along the way in addition to serving after the finish line. Everyone gets a medal and the top three in each class are specially awarded.
